A brand-new business, built from the logo up

Tessa Finance was a new business with no website and no logo yet.

Everything needed to be built from the first mark up.

Industry: Asset and equipment finance broking
Work: Logo and brand identity, website design and development, eligibility calculator

Tessa Finance website, designed and built by Creative Baguette

/ tessafinance.com.au

The starting point: a brand new business, nothing to build on yet.

No logo, no website, no existing brand colours to work from. A finance broker needs to feel credible from the very first look, so there was no room for the identity to feel like an afterthought.

Finance is a trust-heavy industry. People are about to talk to someone about borrowing serious money for equipment, vehicles or assets, and before they do, they check. A homemade logo or a thin, generic site plants exactly the doubt a broker cannot afford.

There was also a language problem to solve. Asset and equipment finance comes wrapped in loan types and lending jargon that most business owners have never had explained properly. The website had to do that explaining before a single phone call.

Everything, from the logo to the colour palette to the final page of copy, had to be decided from scratch.

The decisions that mattered

Logo and colour
palette, from zero

The full identity

We made the calls on colour, branding and the logo itself, giving Tessa Finance a credible identity before a single client ever saw the site.

Structure and copy,
built to convert

Clarity for asset finance

Website structure and copy were written to make different loan types easy to understand, with custom imagery to match the new brand.

An eligibility
calculator

Let clients self-qualify

A built-in calculator lets visitors project whether they would be eligible for a loan before ever making contact, the same self-serve approach that works well across our finance clients.

What shipped: a whole business front, in one project.

A complete brand identity: the Tessa Finance logo, colour palette and custom imagery, designed as one system rather than assembled from parts. Then the website at tessafinance.com.au, structured so each loan type is easy to understand and compare, with copy written to convert rather than to fill space.

The standout feature is the eligibility calculator. A visitor can project whether they would qualify for a loan before ever picking up the phone, which does two useful things at once: it gives hesitant visitors a low-commitment first step, and it means the enquiries that do come through are already warmer.

Creative Baguette has looked after the site since launch, keeping it maintained and updated so the business never has to think about it. That was the point of the whole exercise: Tessa Finance runs the broking, the website just quietly works.

The result: a business made visible.

Tessa Finance launched with a complete, credible identity and a website built to make asset finance easy to understand and act on. Nearly three years on, the relationship is still going: the site is still live, still maintained, and still the front door of the business. The client was very happy with the result.

We Couldn't Be Happier

Creative Baguette helped us create a website and logo for our finance brokerage business and have been maintaining our website for almost three years now. We couldn't be happier.

They are an absolute breeze to work with and had the site up and running quickly so we could get back to the business side of things. They took our brief and vague ideas and ran with it and developed it into something that matched our vision and suited our needs.

Questions this project usually raises

Can you build the brand and the website together?

Yes, and for a new business it is usually the better way.

Logo, colours and website get designed as one system, so nothing has to be retrofitted later.

Can you build tools like calculators into the site?

Yes.

Custom tools such as eligibility calculators and interactive forms can be built into the site itself, so visitors can self-qualify before they ever make contact.

What happens after launch?

Most clients move onto a care plan from $97/month.

That covers hosting, maintenance and updates, with simple changes sorted within two business days. Tessa Finance has run this way for almost three years.
